Tim Sylvia no MORE

After less than a minute, Tim Sylvia was destroyed by Abe Wagner and now needs to find a new job. He has gotten fatter, fatter and fatter, even getting KOed by Mercer a boxer past his Prime. Don't take my word, watch for yourself....

For Tim to ever come back to the UFC would be a miracle from god! Was this the same Tim of the Past (and the competition  just got better)  or was the UFC Heavy Weights really this bad 4-5 years ago.

Dana White Admits that some MMA Fighters are gay

One of our reporters at MMA Rave had time to ask Dana White some very personal questions about MMA (at Fight for the Troops 2). Our reporter Janis Tyler did not go easy on the Manager and quickly cut to the main issue on all MMA fans' minds.

Janis: "Hello Dana, thank you for taking this time with MMA Rave today."

Dana : "No problem. The pleasure is mind. So, whats on your mind kiddo?"

Janis: "Well, we have to ask you, are there any gay fighters in the UFC?"

Dana: "Listen, there are things that go in the back, especially when guys are training in and out all the time that we don't discuss. They're away from their families and they have wives but not in the gym, there, your trainers are your wives."

Janis: "Are you saying that some fighters have relationships with their trainers? Can you give a few names."

Dana: "Welll, its not who you would normally expect. Lesnar and Carwin had a one time get together that may have involved more than just hands slapping if you get my hint. Listen, it makes me sick that people would still not call these two monsters absolute beasts! If any tough talking straight dude ever started talkin shit, they'ed get rolled into a burrito."

Janis: "What about Chael, well he go to Jail for Mortgage fraud?"

Dana: "You know what, I gotta go. Glad we didn't record this !@#%^ interview. Just like the troops we have a 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' view on this issue!"

Well, you heard it first from here. There are some UFC fighters who are secretly in the closet that are gay.

My picks for UFC 126

Alright, UFC 126 is coming close and this should be a real epic treat! We have Anderson 'the Spider' Silva vs Vitor Belfort. Will Vitor find a way to power through valiantly or will he end up another fly in the Spider's web.
My prediction for Silva vs Belfort is that Belfort will probably end up winning. There is only so much stress that the body can take and I believe that Belfort is very fresh and 100 percent. That is not to say that I am counting Anderson out, he is my fan favorite and I want him to win.  Whatever happens though, I hope the fans receive a fight they can remember for decades.

Next we have Forrest Griffin vs Rich Franklin, another classic match that should rock the whole arena. Both men are tough warriors and tactical fighters who will bang with the best. Both are not known for their knock out power are a brilliant ground game ( not to say they can't wrestle or grapple well), but having the ability to take loads of damage and keep going.  My prediction is, I think Forrest will be too much for Franklin and he will be overpowered in the third but the Griffin will win by majority decision.

You think the second fight I mentioned could have been a main event but the third fight main card event tops it. That is right, Jon 'Bones' Jones vs Ryan 'Darth' Bader should be a crowd favorite. Both Ryan and Bader have come off some impressive wins in their career. Ryan Bader defeated lil Nog and Jones defeated Vera and Bonnar as if they were wet-behind-the-ear noooobs. Who do I pick to win. I am flying safe on my pick for this fight and I believe Jon 'Bones' Jones will cruise to TKO in the first round. Yeah, I said first round and I believe he is that good, but anything can happen.

Well, there are a ton of more great fights on this card but I don't want to rant and rave all day. Good luck to all the fighters and let the best one win!

Who is Cung Le

Cung Le is an actor/mma fighter with quite an impressive record not just on the MMA arena. However, his story begins where he was born in Vietnam, in 1975, right before the fall of Saigon. He and his motherAnne, escaped Vietnam by a helicopter that was under heavy fire. When his mother and him came to the United States his mother enrolled him into Taekwondo classes at the age of 10.

Le started wrestling as quoted from Wiki, "Le began wrestling competitively at age 14 after being inspired by his all time favorite actor Sylvester Stallone in Rocky 1 and earned All-American Honors in his Junior year of High School."
Imagine that, he started wrestling as late as 14 years old then at the end of high-school he became one of the best in his weight class. He went on to wrestle at West Valley College, Saratoga California where he ended up winning the state championship (at 158 pound weight class in 1990) and became one of the best in the state.
Not only did he have a pedigree in wrestling but Le, as of this writing, is undefeated at SanShou (A Chinese self defense art known for its throwing, kicking and punching), and he also entered K-1 (a kick boxing organization in Japan) where he earned 3 wins no losses, including a knock out.
Now, with such an arsenal of training and endurance, Cung Le was already a Mixed Martial Artist before MMA became mainstream, and he made his MMA debut in 2006, Knocking out his first four Opponents( One KO was a TKO) and breaking Frank Shamrock's arm. Cung Le has compiled 7 MMA victories and one loss which he avenged with a spinning back kick and strikes, to gain another KO.
With all of these accolades, you'd think that fighting would be the only thing that Cung Le is doing, yet, he is also an actor, and set to play in a lead role in the movie Dragon Eyes which will be based on MMA.

With all that said, here's to Cung Le and he will have my support!

Is Jake Shields Gay?

I didn't know this picture was floating around; another male licking Jake Shield's ear while Jake chuckles and is holding the other guy's hand.

About two months ago or so, I made this Photoshop (the picture below this writing) before I realized Jake could actually be gay, which is of Rogan and Jake Shields standing right by each other. Loooook at the similarity between the top picture.

This one I created because Rogan was totally on Shield's Balls after the Kampmann fight. Now, I am not here to put it down if he is gay or not, but talk about deja-vu!

Jacob Vokmann vs Obama & Secret Service

Apparently, Jacob Volkmann does not like Obama that much, so much that he made the blunder of calling the president out... Well, they didn't actually fight but Volkmann did get a little visit from the Secret Service for some questioning.

Anthony Pettis High Kick and Last WEC

If you haven't seen this kick off the fence then its worth seeing like five times or until you
get sick of watching it. Hearing Stephen Bonnar describe the round house was almost just as impressive and to think, this kick was the end of the last WEC.

Sadly, the WEC was home to all of the lighter fighters and for a long time they put on some of the most exciting fights ever. For some reason it never got as popular as its parent company, the UFC.
At least ex-WEC fighter Jose Aldo will now be fighting in the UFC who is one of the most accomplished feather weights the sport has produced so far.

So long WEC and thank you for all the memories

The Heath Herring Kiss of Death

Today, I am going to show one of the most funniest things that happened in MMA history. Apparently, a fighter called Yoshihiro Nakao was trying to get under another fighter, Heath Herring's skin or make his way into his heart for New Year's eve. Either way, that is not how you treat a man from Texas and ended with a KO before the bell rang. Next, Heath's corner men were jumped by Yoshihiro's corner men back stage and there a new fight began. But, let me give my Broke Back version of what happened......

It happened like this.. For awhile Heath Herring and Yoshihiro had a deep love for each other that they were keeping secret over cell phone and the Internet. Over the internet they emailed each other constantly about how they wanted to share their love together and maybe have children. Yoshihiro pushed Heath to come open, and to tell the world about their new found relationship. Nevertheless, Heath was a man from Texas and would not consent to this, but rather he would keep his love secret a mystery.

Knowing that the world would never know about the two's secret love affairs, Yoshihiro, challenged Heath to a kick-boxing match at K-1. If Yoshihiro won, Heath would have to spill the beans about their romance, but if Heath won, they would both run off to San Francisco and where disguises to hide their love.

It was New Years Eve the day they met up at the K-1 Dynamite event. Excited, Yoshihiro could not hold back his love and kissed Heath right on the lips, breaking the deal and angering the Texan who would not be known as a gay man in public. Heath, feeling betrayed, shot back, knocking Yoshihiro out cold with a right fist that toppled his lover. Thus, their relationship ended there and both were disqualified.

Heath hasn't talked to Yoshihiro since, but he does remember that kiss and hoping maybe Yoshihiro has forgiven him...

Freak Shows in MMA

MMA Freak Shows

Most hardcore MMA fans know who Roy Nelson is. He is the obese heavy weight who can go toe-to-toe with some of the biggest and baddest MMA fighters in the world. He has even beaten Frank Mir in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu match. Roy Nelson may not know the meaning of a medium or small pizza when it comes to ordering, but, he can deliver a strong punch, ask Stefan Struve, an MMA freak show in his own right (being like 6ft and 11in tall). At least these two were serious fighters and not like Bob Sapp or Choi Hong-man, who're literally freak shows with little skill but all freakishly large.

Probably the biggest mma freak was James Toney, an older pro boxer who turned himself into an MMA fighter or could it have been Kimbo Slice, a street brawler who managed to make it on the Ultimate Fighter, only to lose to a legit fighter and freak Roy Nelson.

I guess my biggest beef is with freaks, is when they bring them on to fight but they are not very skilled combatants. I look to Randy Couture (who is a freak in his own right and still fighting at 47 in the UFC as of this writing) when he fought James Toney as my example, which ended for James in the first round with a novice take down and then an arm triangle choke by Randy. James Toney took his paycheck and then left the building a little richer, but left an audience that was probably not entertained by the spectacle and whose pockets were a little less deeper.

Chael goes to Jail

Will, in the MMA World it appears Chael maybe going to jail for Mortgage Fraud so I
think the picture is appropriate since he will have to dig himself out of another mess.
Maybe they can run an Ultimate Fighter while he's behind bars. Can't this guy just
Chael the Ef out!

Welcome to my Official MMA Rave Blog

Here I will discuss modern MMA & MMA news that is buzzing around the world with a twist of FUN. I will be doing photoshops and you don't mind if I gossip here and there? Wellll, if you do mind if I gossip then... TOOO BAD.  LOL...
I like to first show off some of my Photoshops!

Here is one from UFC 122...

Too bad the fight wasn't this exciting and I heard some of the people snoring from my television set.
Here is what really happened at UFC 122....

Next Picture..IS it me or does Scott Coker look more like a fighter than Fedor? Oh well, we know who would win in a fight.

Too bad UFC 122 was not as good as UFC 121. Its also a good thing they didn't let the matador kill the bull because it looked like Brock was about to be turned into canned beef. Poor Brock, hopefully he comes back... But lose the beard you Grizzly Adams.

Did anyone see Koshcheck's new look after he loss to GSP for the second time. Wow... I mean Wow, he doesn't look all that half bad anymore... Except his face. He could still use a new face.

Well, that is all for now and keep enjoying the world off MMA!
